Essays can be written especially for the competition or have been published during 2008.
The judges will be looking for around 3000 (with an absolute maximum of 4000) well-written words. |
| Previous winners include Roger Bootle, Simon Briscoe, Joanne Collins, Fergus Hicks, Thomas Mayer, Pam Woodall, and Kevin Daly. 2007 saw the competition opened up to non-UK residents, and the prize was awarded to four authors from UniCredit Global Research in Milan. |

| Our thanks to KPMG, for their generous sponsorship once again of the £3000 Rybczynski Prize for the year’s best piece of writing on an issue of importance to business economists. |
| Closing date is 8 December. |
