| Andrew Dilnot CBE is the Chair of the UK
Statistics Authority. The post of Chair of the UK Statistics Authority
is a crown appointment, made with the approval of Parliament following a
pre-appointment hearing before the House of Commons Public Select
Committee and a formal motion debated on the floor of the House of
Commons. Andrew was appointed to succeed the Authority's first Chair,
Sir Michael Scholar KCB, and he took up post in April 2012 for a
five-year term. |
| Andrew was elected as Warden of Nuffield
College Oxford with effect from September 2012. Between 2002 and August
2012, Andrew was Principal of St Hugh's College, Oxford. He was awarded
a CBE in 2000 for services to economics and economic policy. |
