| Pro Bono Economics (PBE) is a new charity which seeks to broker economists into charities to help on short and medium term projects, typically addressing questions of impact and effectiveness. |
| It was launched at HM Treasury on 29 September with the support of the Government Economic Service, and the SBE is also happy to endorse this worthwhile initiative. |
